Still have questions?
What is Persepolis?
Persepolis is a live discussion platform. You join a 60-minute video conversation with four other people about a book, a film, or a topic of the day. It runs in your browser — nothing to install.
How much does Persepolis cost?
$29 per month as a founding member, which covers up to five hours a week and the full library. The standing price is $49; founding members keep $29 for as long as they stay. Cancel anytime.
Can I join while I'm driving?
Commute rooms are built for the drive — audio-only, hands-free, no screen required. You pick your topic the night before and the room opens at the hour you chose. The platform locks video rooms while you're driving; commute sessions are the only ones designed to run while you're behind the wheel. They run 30 or 60 minutes, morning and evening.
Do I have to read the book first?
No. Every room opens with a short primer that gives everyone the same starting point. Reading it first makes the hour better, but it isn't required.
What actually happens in a session?
You arrive a few minutes early. A one-to-two-minute primer frames the question. The group talks for an hour, and the conversation closes with a challenge to make, design, or commit to.
Is it recorded?
No. Sessions are never recorded and there is no replay or archive. Moderation works on reports from people who were in the room.
Who is this for?
Stop scrolling alone. Start thinking together. Persepolis is for people who want more from their screens — not less time on them, more depth from them. If you already reach for books, films, and ideas to understand the world, and you want technology to help you grow, expand, and actually transform rather than just fill the hours, this is where that impulse goes. One hour, four people, the thing you've been thinking about alone.
How is this different from a book club?
A book club meets monthly around one book. Persepolis runs every day, across books, films, and current topics. Rooms hold four people — that's it — so everyone speaks, no one hides, and the conversation goes somewhere real. It's for processing what you experience alone, not for finishing a reading list.
What devices does it work on?
Any modern browser on a laptop, desktop, tablet, or phone. There's no app to download.
